Patrick was commissioned by the US Coast Guard to create three paintings of U.S. Revenue Cutters to commemorate the bicentennial of the War of 1812.

The National Maritime Historical Society
Patrick was awarded the
Distinguished Service Award
in 2012 for his body of artwork.

The Gaylord National Resort
Patrick was commissioned to create two very large paintings for the resort hotel near Washington, DC. The paintings are 10 feet wide by 5 feet high, and are hung in the main lobby behind the front desk.
Patrick's paintings have been used several times on the cover of Naval History magazine, published by the US Naval Institue at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
