The Union League Club is a prominent social club in Manhattan. It was founded during the Civil War, and has had many well known members such as Ulysses S. Grant, Teddy Roosevelt and thirteen other presidents, as well as people like J.D. Rockefeller and J.P. Morgan. Many well known artists have been members, such as Frederick Remington, Albert Bierstadt, and cartoonist Thomas Nast. |
